A wonderful experience β¨οΈ We drove 4hrs just to come to this museum and it was well worth it. We walked the whole garden and spoke with the staff who were very helpful and kind. The start is a few small movies giving you the history and why Morikami was built and then youre off to the gardens which by the pictures you can tell are breathtaking. Personally I loved walking through the bamboo garden and hearing the wind move the bamboo against one another was very peaceful. There were also some wild life, little lizards running around, some turles, and a bigger lizard. The garden was well shaded in alot of areas but in case you get too warm they have spots for sitting along the trail. The staff made sure that you knew where the water fountains were at along the route as well as bathrooms. The gift shop was also fun and if I had more money I would have me a kimono by the end of it all! But they had really pretty and well made tea sets and pottery. And alot of things where straight from Japan which I loved to see. The food was amazing! I was surprised, I knew it would be expensive and it was but the quality of the food backed the price. It was a full meal and please look at the pictu

Great place to enjoy a peaceful walk through highly manicured gardens designed with different period styles. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery, both in the sun and shade, most of which are dedicated to people who loved the garden. Wonderful bonsai on display, many older then myself. There is a restroom on the far side of the garden across from the entrance to the bonsai garden and a cold filtered water despenser to fill your bottles outside the building next to the bonsai garden. The museum is pretty large relative to the main building with exhibits that change on a schedule displayed in their newsletter and on their website. It is worth while to get a membership if you plan on going more than three times in a year, living close by that is the decision I made. I only saw one "aggressive walker" with headphones on moving at a steady pace, everyone else was enjoying the gardens. Some lost in discussion about their lives, others walking in silence enjoying the views. It was a very peaceful visit.

I had an amazing time visiting this park. It was one of the cleanest and most peaceful parks I've ever been to. Every detail was beautifully maintained, from the walking paths to the gardens, making the entire experience feel calm and relaxing. The unique Japanese design, landscaping, and atmosphere truly made it stand out from other parks I've visited. It's the perfect place to enjoy nature, take beautiful photos, or simply unwind. I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for a quiet, beautiful, and unforgettable experience!

I had such a lovely experience at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and so well maintained β it truly feels like a little escape from everyday life. One thing that really stood out to me was the kindness of the front desk gentleman, who gave me a $2 discount without me even asking. It was such a small gesture but incredibly thoughtful and appreciated. The cafΓ© was also delicious and very reasonably priced, which made the visit even better. The entire experience felt welcoming and relaxing. Definitely worth visiting if youβre looking for a calm and beautiful place to explore!

A beautiful way to spend time with nature. Quite and beautiful is all one can say about the garden. It's a little over a mile walk around the lake and is set with different eras of Japanese cultural garden periods. The plants are native to Florida but chosen and developed to the Japanese style. Well worth the time to visit.
